The history of Google April Fools

Google is a great company that likes to have a joke, since 2000, Google have created April Fool’s jokes and with todays two ingenius pranks I have decided to show you the history of their April Fools.

1) Google’s MentalPlex
This basically reads your mind and then searches for what you wanted automatically.

2) PigeonRank
Based upon Google’s PageRank, it ranked pages by the number of pecks a pigeon produced.

3) Google Copernicus Center
Google’s hiring scheme for the new research center they were creating on the moon.

4) Google Gulp
A new drink from Google that claims to increase your intelligence.

Google’s new dating service with advertising.

6) Google TiSP

And let’s not forget that GMail was seen as an April Fool’s Prank as well back on April 1st 2004, obviously it wasn’t, but back then 1GB was a ridiculous amount of storage space for emails.

So that’s a look back at Google’s April Fool’s over the years, I wonder what is in store for next year, maybe the release of Google OS???
